10th Anniversary of the NiSALS Symposia

This year’s NiSALS symposium will be hosted in Oxford. Submission for presentations is now closed. Attendees, please register for the meeting until September 15th at the bottom of the page.

The draft program is now available here.

The meeting will start at 10:00 s.t. on the 12th and end on the 13th after lunch. We advise you to arrive on the 11th if possible, and enjoy two nights in the historic city of Oxford.

Travelling to Oxford:
There are regular coaches from Heathrow and Gatwick airports to Oxford, as well as coach options from London, and frequent trains from Marylebone or Paddington stations in London, for those arriving by Eurostar. Taxis are available from Gloucester Green bus station and Oxford rail station.

Accommodation in Oxford:
Oxford is a popular destination, and it is important to book early, especially if your budget is limited. There are many bed and breakfast options in the city for reasonable prices, as well as hotels that can be booked via the usual booking sites. It is sometimes possible to find accommodation in a College, but these rooms will have limited availability in November.

The Venue:
The NiSALS meeting will take place at St Cross College in the city centre of Oxford. St Cross is within walking distance of many local attractions, including the Eagle & Child, and Lamb & Flag pubs. Dinner on the 12th will be at the Jam Factory, about 15 minutes walk from St Cross. More details on dinner will be available to registered attendees soon.

In Oxford:
There are many historic attractions in and around Oxford, which you can find on local tourism sites. Getting around the city is easiest by bus or bike. Buses take cash and contactless payments. Taxis may take cash only — ask if your taxi accepts card payment before you begin your ride.
